User Biography

Jayme Fraser graduated from The University of Montana’s  School of Journalism in May 2012 after studying print, photography and multimedia. She combines people-focused narratives with investigative reporting to evaluate social and political issues. She leaves Montana for a summer internship at The Seattle Times followed by the 18-month Hearst Journalism Fellowship. In her senior year, Jayme was Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Kaimin after two years as a reporter. She worked on the politics team at The Oregonian (Portland, Ore.) this summer. At Montana’s 2011 legislature, she worked as a photographer and writer for Community News Service, a project providing free content to nearly 40 community newspapers. PatchworkNation.org has also featured her work.  She has interned with The Cody Enterprise (Cody, Wyo.) and the Missoulian (Missoula, Mont.) as a news reporter and feature writer.  Jayme also is a freelance book designer and typesetter.
